Grafted Vines

In 1983, RVIC extended its services to include the supply of grafted vines to local growers. Over the past 25 years RVIC has strived to ensure a consistently high quality product is delivered to customers. This focus on quality has seen the nursery develop a trusted reputation supplying throughout Australia.

Grafting and callusing usually occurs from August through to November each year. Before planting, the callused vines are inspected and the graft union is waxed. The grafted vines are planted into the nursery in the spring and grown through the summer and autumn months until dormant.

Dormant vines are lifted daily from the nursery from June to August. From there they are delivered immediately to the depot for hydration, processing and cold storage. Vines are bundled, labelled and packaged for delivery. The packaged vines remain in cold storage until collection.
